I haven't really put any serious thought into what I'm going to do after Baruch. Of course i want to be an accountant, that's why I'm here. But i do have some vague visions of what i want for the future. First off, i want to be a success making loads of money. Not that I'm shallow, but it takes a certain amount of capital to get what you want. Secondly, i want a family that i can spend time with. Third, i want a to be able to enjoy the simple things in life and never lose sight of whats important. Fourth, i want to SHOW THE WORLD WHO PAUL MICHAEL RAMOTAR IS. And they'll be saying Warren Buffett who? Lastly, and most important of all, I want to be happy.
So what actions would have have to do to make my goal a reality? The only action i can see fitting to make this vision a reality would be to show up everyday, work hard and give it my all. And dont forget to enjoy the simple things in life. That may not be specific, but is the path to making my dream a reality.

Hey Paul. it seems you have a great head on your shoulders. Its good to understand that even sometimes the simple things in life is what can make a simple dream a lifetime goal. You have expectations that seem harder than what they can be never lose sight of it. Wanting to be an accountant that's great, its a lot of dedication and hard work. You also want to have a family that's always great. Just never forget to prioritize whats important. Money and fame now that's perfection , but without aspirations and "dreams" there is nothing to look forward to. Always remember that if you wake up in the morning and love to go into work, or look forward to going on the path to successfully completing all your visions and dreams then your doing something right. Your opinion and gut feeling is what matters, you'll always have people who will discourage you but your best friend and worst critic should always be yourself. Good luck.
You seems to have a lot of visions in your mind. I agree with you that making a lot of money is necessary in order to achieve your other visions and get what you want. Without money, you can't even support yourself and don't even mentions about other goals. Therefore, I think that you are right, making loads of money should be the priority of your vision.
Also, you said that your most important vision is can be happy. I think this vision is really hard to achieve. Even though you want to be happy, but a lot of things happen in a way that is just out of your control. You can't really prevent all unhappy things happen on you. I think always be positive is the only thing that I can suggest to you if you want to be happy. Whenever things happen, just think it in a positive way and hope things will eventually turn out to be fine. I hope that you can really achieve your vision. So let's act on it now!!
It sounds like you know what you want, even though like you said, your visions are a bit vague.
I don't think at this age, or stage at life we know exactly what we want out of life, but we have ideas, and many people share yours, especially in Baruch. It seems like you have traditional values, and you'll fit in many places in Corporate America.
With hard work, you'll get where you want in life. Make sure you don't lose sight of your other visions such as family, because many times some things got to give, and you need to decide what you will want to compromise when the time is right.

Well, these are almost every man's dream! getting rich, getting famous, and yet you did mention to enjoy life and family. what a perfect furture =). lets all try our best to accomplish these goals!
Many people are not sure about their future careers. I believe that a lot of it depends on luck- the people you meet and the conversations you have with them. Of course, some of your future success depends on you as well. Having a degree is being one step closer to a great career. Believing in yourself and knowing you are the one to make tons of money is certainly helpful in addition to taking some actions to achieving the vision. I think that's funny that you said your name will be more popular than Warren Buffett. Dreaming big is important too!
Hey, I think you are very clear with your vision and your action in the future. I agree with you that being an accountant takes a lot of hard work, and it looks like you are ready to work hard and be successful in the future. Most of your visions are similar to almost everyone in the class. Everyone wants to earn loads of money, have a great family, and be happy. I believe everyone can do it if they can follow their actions. In your case, I think you will definitely made it and have a successful life.
Agreed, "live life to the fullest". Having a family of course is something I have thoughtout, but obviously you would need a decent cash flow in order to support your family, so I dont see it happening for a while. lol

Hey Paul, its very easy to dream, but the preperation is what should be your focus then the destination itself. Yes, we all like to be rich and successful, thats why we are all in Baruch, because comparatively its less expensive then other colleges, with a good reputation. However, now that you know what you want, try to plan the how you will get it. You are on the road to success, plan it carefully, so you can live it and fulfill it. Just remember to take actions along with dreams, only then you can be more successful then Warren Buffet. Good luck!!

Like all other student you want to make loads of money, but it is interesting small things in life come to your attention. It is good that you are working hard to achieve your goals, becoming an accountant and become more famous than Warren Buffett. It is hard but not impossible. I wish you luck and hope you achieve your vision.
